Why is Gigabit Ethernet chosen as their base platform?

  • Industrial standard for compatibility and high performance for machine vision (AIA GigE Vision standard) and network.
  • High band width for high-speed and high-resolution cameras but it is backward compatible to 10/100 MHz Ethernet.
  • Camera can operate as a local server to control various peripherals.
  • Field upgradeable and diagnosable.
